ORGANIZATION: Literacy Green Bay

Literacy Green Bay is looking to hire two Early Childhood teachers available in the evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning September 9th, 2019. This teacher is critical to the emotional health and education of the children attending our Children and Family First Literacy program with their parents. The availability required for both Mondays and Wednesdays is 4:45pm-7:45pm. The applicants would need to be available to begin this position on September 9th, 2019 which is the first day of Literacy Green Bay's Fall Semester. This is a paid, part-time position which requires a high school diploma, or GED with Childcare experience. Applicants must be patient and have a nurturing attitude with respect for children of all abilities, cultures and backgrounds. Applicants must pass a background check and demonstrate knowledge of working with children of variable age groups. Description

Literacy Green Bay offers English Language classes, Family Literacy Classes, and One-on-One Adult Tutoring. We offer ELL Classes in the mornings and evenings four days a week. The Children First Family Literacy program is a GED program in collaboration with NWTC and the Howe Community Resource Center, which provides GED instruction. Students in our Adult Tutoring program work one-on-one with volunteer tutors on goals that are specific to their needs (i.e. improving basic reading skills, speaking better English, studying for GED).
