Come work with fellow volunteers to maintain this prairie remnant by removing Queen Anne's Lace and other invasives at the Muehllehner Addition to the Barneveld Prairie.
Barneveld Prairie is a beautiful rolling landscape dotted with prairie and oak savanna remnants - let's keep it that way by getting rid of the invasive Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota) and other non-native species. Volunteer work days like this offer an amazing opportunity to not only enjoy Wisconsin's natural beauty, but also to work collaboratively and take action to protect our ecosystem.
Work Party Leader: Jim Lesniak, 608-576-3310
What to Bring: Dress for the weather and wear long pants, work gloves, and clothes that can get dirty if you have them. Please bring water. We'll provide the necessary tools.
Directions: Approximately 0.2 miles east of the village of Barneveld, turn south on Cnty Hwy. K. Follow Hwy K for 2 miles and turn into the Nature Conservancy parking lot on the right. If you pass Prairie Grove Road, you have gone too far. Link to map
