Big River Art Contest Volunteer

Assist with the set up, take down and clean-up for the annual Big River Artist Contest (grades 3-6) recognition event. Food (cheese, fruit, cold cuts, cookies, lemonade) will be served prior to the formal program. Volunteers are needed to assist with putting the food out, managing disposable plates, utensils etc. Afterward, some light cleaning of the food service area, and repackaging of excess food will be required.

Description
The Volunteers-In-Parks program is a joint program with Mississippi Park Connection. Mississippi National River and Recreation Area represents America's greatest river, the Mississippi, which weaves together the natural and cultural heritage and economic vitality of the region. The National Park Service works with partners to foster increased citizen awareness, advocacy, and enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River.
Volunteer-In-Parks provides people with opportunities to discover, experience, and enjoy the diversity of the Mississippi River while also preserving it for future generations through volunteer restoration projects and education programs.
