The transfer or riders is one of the most critical and unique pieces of the ride experience. It is the location where participants spend the most time and where the most communication and coordination is needed. Volunteers help direct riders to food and amenities, load bikes into trucks, and ensure that riders are getting on the appropriate bus. This location takes ~20 volunteers to run smoothly. This is a great location for volunteers that want to sleep in a little longer, and still want to have the whole day free. Volunteers need to arrive by 6am and will finish up by 8:15am to get back to work or enjoy the rest of their day.
This is a great opportunity for early risers that still want to get to work on time in Annapolis, DC, or Baltimore. You will also have a great impact for individuals with autism and disabilities.

Mission Statement
Bike to the Beach is a 501(c)3 organization that strives to promote active and socially and environmentally conscious communities committed to healthy lifestyles and to making a difference for the millions living with autism spectrum disorder. Our 100-mile bike rides from urban areas to nearby beaches connect fun and fitness with raising funds and awareness for autism research and advocacy.
Description
Bike to the Beach, Inc. ("Bike to the Beach" or "B2B") is organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization exclusively for educational, charitable, and social purposes. Through numerous events, B2B promotes biking as a viable way of running errands, commuting, traveling, exercising, reducing carbon emissions, networking, and public service.
Our goal is to educate urban residents about the benefits of bike riding so that they might begin biking on a regular basis. Through the creation of this strong, pro-active, and like-minded network, we are able to focus our growing resources on raising money and awareness, not only for our own organization, but also for an annually-determined charitable cause.
Donations from our past and current efforts have been donated to Autism Speaks to aid in their tireless efforts to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
