Our Starting Line operations take ~25 volunteers. It is an opportunity to make a great first impression with individuals attending our event. There are a variety of stations and roles for volunteers that range from highly sociable to more manual labor. We try to place volunteers in roles that they prefer. From 3:15-5:30am, we need help setting up tables, Rider Check-In, tire/safety checks, bag checking, food and water display, and clean up. This is a great position for individuals that need to get back to work in the morning or have other responsibilities throughout the day.
This is a great location for all types of volunteers, and a great opportunities to have an impact for the autism and disabilities community.

Mission Statement
Bike to the Beach is a 501(c)3 organization that strives to promote active and socially and environmentally conscious communities committed to healthy lifestyles and to making a difference for the millions living with autism spectrum disorder. Our 100-mile bike rides from urban areas to nearby beaches connect fun and fitness with raising funds and awareness for autism research and advocacy.
Description
Bike to the Beach, Inc. ("Bike to the Beach" or "B2B") is organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization exclusively for educational, charitable, and social purposes. Through numerous events, B2B promotes biking as a viable way of running errands, commuting, traveling, exercising, reducing carbon emissions, networking, and public service.
Our goal is to educate urban residents about the benefits of bike riding so that they might begin biking on a regular basis. Through the creation of this strong, pro-active, and like-minded network, we are able to focus our growing resources on raising money and awareness, not only for our own organization, but also for an annually-determined charitable cause.
Donations from our past and current efforts have been donated to Autism Speaks to aid in their tireless efforts to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
