The 15th Annual Secret Gardens of West Chester Tour will showcase private gardens in the Everhart Park area of the borough of West Chester. This event provides the opportunity to visit exclusive private gardens in the Everhart Park area of the borough of West Chester while highlighting the talent of local musicians and artists performing throughout the day at many of the gardens. All proceeds support Barclay Friend’s Horticultural Therapy Program.
Do you enjoy gardening and horticulture? Volunteers are needed in some of the gardens along the tour. Volunteers are needed for morning and afternoon garden shifts. Morning shifts are from 9:45 am-12:30 pm and afternoon shifts are from 12:15 pm-3:00 pm. To find out volunteer needs or help out at the event, please contact Elsabet Haile at 610-918-3424.

Description
Barclay Friends, an affiliate of The Kendal Corporation, provides long term nursing care, and post-acute rehabilitation in a state-of-the-art community. Settled in the borough of West Chester. Barclay Friends is dedicated to continuing to improve the care of the aging in the wider community. Basic Quaker values are reflected in the manner of care we provide. We strive to honor the spirit, humanness, and basic rights of each older person. We respond faithfully to the needs of older people: the need for independence and self determination, the need to feel connected, and the need to have opportunities for learning, fun, reflection, and self expression.
