The Sean M. Walsh K-9 Memorial Foundation ("Sean's K-9s") is looking for help with taking down and packing our decorations and items used for our 7th Annual Fundraiser Luau. This is an outdoor space and activity. We will be following the Covid guidelines for the city and county of Santa Clara on social distancing and masks. We are asking our volunteers to be sensitive to others and wear masks when in closer spaces or when working with others that you are not sure of their vaccination status?
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is in the back barbecue area of the Elks Lodge in Santa Clara. We convert an average 3/4 acre grass yard to an oasis in Hawaii!
This year we’ve booked the venue for Sunday allowing us the time to carefully take down/ package and stage for removal all of the decorations, lighting, tables, etc that it takes to hold an event of this size.
Do do this, we need help! The start time for this is 9:00 am and this shift will go until noon.
We will need assistance carefully taking down items such as entrance archway, banners, curtains, string lighting, tables, centerpiece artificial floral decorations and other items that will be reused at our Luau next year. We’ll also need assistance cleaning up afterwards.
Letters for community service hours are available for anyone that may need one.

We are an all volunteer organization that raises money through fundraisers, exhibits at community events, and grants from businesses and provide grants to qualifiying law enforcement agencies in need so they can purchase K-9s.
