Mission Statement

The mission of the Plants and Pillars Mentoring Program is to help young females and males prepare to be leaders and build skills for life-long learning, responsible citizenship and sustaining healthy relationships through structured curriculum and supportive relationships with caring, responsible adult volunteer mentors.

Description

Plants and Pillars, Incorporated is a non-profit organization that has established the Plants and Pillars Mentoring Program. The program was founded in 2018 through a need for helping adolescent youth reach their full potential by removing barriers. With a common belief that youth need guidance to make a difference, it is a goal for the Plants and Pillars organization, along with community member-partners, to form strong partnerships and develop a mentoring program to prepare youth through experiential learning facilitated though trusting relationships. The Plants and Pillars Mentoring Program envisions a community in which our youth experience one-to-one relationships and community support. This will allow each of them to develop the ability to make informed decisions, become responsible citizens and empower them to make positive life choices.
