Cooking Is Caring is a unique collaboration of four nonprofits, Kitchen Cred, JEVS Care At Home, YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School and Independence Blue Cross. In a series of brief videos, Kitchen Cred chef/instructors, with the help of students from YouthBuild, demonstrate kitchen skills and cook off healthy recipes. The principal users of the videos are family members caring for seniors and disabled clients of JEVS Care At Home. Our venue is the demonstration kitchen at Independence LIVE.
Our director/videographer needs an experienced Sound Assistant to capture audio during video shoot. Ability to provide your own equipment would be a plus.

Description
Kitchen Cred is an interactive educational program that empowers adolescents in Greater Philadelphia with tools and recipes for life. Under the guidance of culinary professionals, teens learn about cooking, food safety, nutrition, and food economics, while cultivating self-esteem, leadership and teamwork skills. The outcome is happier, healthier teens and communities.
To increase its impact, Kitchen Cred partners with community groups, chefs, educators, corporations, and other nonprofit agencies.
In 2012 Independence Blue Cross selected Kitchen Cred from over 150 applicants as winner of the IBX Game Changers Challenge, a competition seeking innovative solutions to improve the Philadelphia region's health and wellness.
