Crisis line volunteers at ALIVE provide support to individuals calling for assistance - this can include completing a safety plan, completing an intake for Nights of Safety shelter providing information about victims’ legal rights, providing information about ALIVE’s services, answering questions individual’s may have, making appropriate referrals, or scheduling an intake for a counseling session. ALIVE provides an appropriate and intensive training ensuring Crisis line volunteers will feel confident and well-informed. Crisis line volunteers are paired with staff support and shadow staff while learning and training. There are available shifts for this volunteer opportunity seven days a week (Sunday through Saturday) and the shifts are available around the clock. If you're a night owl we have a shift for you! If you're an early bird we have a shift for you too! If you like a late start - never fear! We have a shift for you too! Since we operate 24 hours a day seven days a week there are plenty of opportunities.
