Job Carr Cabin Museum is hosting a children's activity booth at the Point Ruston Farmers Market on Sunday 9/8/19.
Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, craft activities and clean-up.
We ask that volunteers commit to help for at least 2 hours of the event.
Set-up is 9-10am.
Event is 10am-3pm.
Clean-up is 3-3:30pm.
The Tacoma Farmers Market at Point Ruston is a free community event. We expect hundreds of attendees to stop by our booth located on The Grand Plaza (near Farrelli's). Volunteers will provide information about the museum, help demonstrate pioneer toys, and assist children with a craft activity.
We welcome volunteers of all ages, interests and skill levels. No experience necessary.

Description
The Job Carr Cabin Museum is a replica of Job Carr's log cabin, originally built in 1864/65, as the first permanent non-native residence in Tacoma. The Museum houses interpretive historical displays and artifacts from Tacoma's early days. Educational history programs and tours are provided for school children, educators, history buffs, community residents and visitors to our city.
