Our unique Urban Ministry Training Program (UTP) provides interns with hands-on experience in nonprofit, human services, and ministry fields. You will be equipped to advance the work of NGO's worldwide and make a lasting impact on the addicted, homeless and needy in our community. Academic internships are also available. Furthermore, all Denver Rescue Mission interns have the chance to exercise their Christian faith in a variety of capacities.
Our internships follow the academic calendar and have fall, spring, and summer start dates. Full time and part time internships are available. Full time interns also enjoy free room and board (Denver-area only), a monthly stipend and tuition remuneration.
Internships are available at 4 facilities in Denver and 2 facilities in Northern Colorado.
About Denver Rescue Mission
6090 Smith Rd., Denver, CO 80216, US
Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive self-sufficient citizens.
Founded in 1892, Denver Rescue Mission is the oldest full-service Christian charity serving the poor and needy in the Rocky Mountain region.
Lawrence Street Shelter is our most recognizable location because of the neon "Jesus Saves" sign on the corner of the building. Services at this location include shelter (up to 315 men nightly), medical services and relational and emotional support for those experiencing homelessness.
The Crossing provides a long-term New Life Program location for men; the STAR Transitional Program for homeless families and single men and women with children; and temporary housing for New Life Program graduates, interns and visitors.
We'll work with your schedule.
