ORGANIZATION: McKamey Animal Center

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Do you see stray cats in your neighborhood and want to help, but don't know how? Trap-Neuter-Return(TNR) is the answer! TNR is when we set humane traps where stray cats have been reported, catch as many as we can, transport them to McKamey Animal Center (MAC) for spay/neuter surgery, and return them to where they were trapped. Returning neutered cats ensures that the cats continue to guard their territory and keep rodent population down, but are unable to reproduce!

McKamey Animal Center's Community Cat Program is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are up for the challenge! There are countless unneutered community cats in Chattanooga, Red Bank, and Lakesite that we need help with. There are numerous ways to help so do not hesitate to contact our Community Cat Coordinator!
