Are you passionate about supporting families that are working hard to leave homelessness? Do you have experience working with young children? Do you want to help break the cycle of poverty? If so, please consider volunteering with us!

We are in search of one volunteer to assist staff in our preschoolers afternoon trip to the park every Friday from 3:00-4:00 pm. To be clear, this opportunity would be every Friday at the same time. (This excludes holidays, office closures, and occasional time off requested by the volunteer).

Volunteers would help the students cross the street safely, monitor and supervise playground play, and participate in fun outdoor activities with the kids.

This is a wonderful opportunity to serve homeless parents with children, work in a team context with other staff and volunteers, and partner with a mission driven non-profit with sustainable client outcomes. We are looking for applicants that are energetic, kind, capable, timely, exhibit a high level of personal responsibility, and have strong personal administrative skills. Applicants must complete a short application, and background checks.

If interested, please email Brianna at blarson-jackson@homestretchva.org directly for more information and next steps!
