The Cade Foundation Family Building Gala is our annual celebration of families OVERCOMING infertility as well organizations and individuals doing great work to support families with infertility. We need 12 volunteers to make this years Family Building Gala a success! If you are interested and available please sign up for the volunteer category that you would like. The annual Family Building Gala provides a great opportunity for us to acknowledge the grant recipients as well as those who have made a difference in for families (nationally) with infertility.

Please note we will have a short mandatory team training where you will receive specific information about the responsibilities and overview of the event.

Benefits: All volunteers will receive complimentary snacks and drinks throughout the evening at a designated area and a volunteer gift from the Tinina Q Cade Foundation. This event is approved for service learning hours as well.

Attire: All volunteers are asked to wear Black Cocktail attire. For ladies, this means knee length dress or floor length black dress. For gentlemen this means a dark suit (preferably black.) Please wear comfortable shoes.

Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers can volunteer for multiple areas.

Décor & Auction Set-up

Job Description: Set up aspects of décor and the auction during the day on November 5th in preparation for the family building gala. This may include set-up in the main event room as well as for the silent auction and raffles. Direction will be provided on site.

Greeters + Seating

Job Description:

Welcome patrons to the event, direct them to registration area, and then to the reception.

Registration

Job Description: Welcome, register, and give guests the appropriate information. Once guests have checked in, you will assist with organizing and filling any registration paperwork.

Silent Auction + Drawing Representatives

Job Description:

Oversee items in the silent auction area. At the closing of each section, move all silent auction items to the item pick-up area. This position might require you to move boxes or packages that may be heavy. You may also circulate through the silent auction areas and offer guests an opportunity to make a donation to the Foundation and as a thank you for their donation, they are offered a raffle ticket for the chance to win two club level tickets to a Ravens Vs. Steelers game at M&T Bank Stadium. Runners will retrieve information from the auction recorder, take bid information to the winning bidder for signature, and then return the signed bid sheet to the cashier. As the auctions close, prepare items to be delivered to patrons as they check out. As invoices marked "PAID" are presented, retrieve the patron’s items. You may also direct people into lines to receive their invoices, pay, and pick up their items. Later in the evening, as guests come to checkout, handle the printing of the paid invoice and update the database/paperwork to reflect their payment.

Silent Auction Runners/Item Pick Up + Bank Customer Service/ Greeters +Item Pick Up

Job Description:

Runner will retrieve information from the auction recorder, take bid information to the winning bidder for signature, and then return the signed bid sheet to the cashier. As the auctions close,prepare items to be delivered to patrons as they check out. As invoices marked "PAID" are presented, retrieve the patron’s items. You may also direct people into lines to receive their invoices, pay, and pick up their items. Later in the evening, as guests come to checkout, handle the printing of the paid invoice and update the database/paperwork to reflect their payment.

Late Night Host + Clean Up

Job Description:

Provide support and customer service to guests. Duties will be flexible and assigned as necessary. Duties may include assisting in seating, light cleaning and general guest services. At the conclusion of the program, volunteers are tasked with minimal packing, cleaning the event room.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote awareness of infertility and related issues amongst people who suffer with this condition as well as the general population. We will serve the needs of families struggling with infertility by providing educational resources, and financial assistance for helping them grow their families.


+ We will serve the community by providing education on infertility and related issues working alone as well as in partnership with other organizations.

+ We will provide financial assistance for families struggling with infertility who are either pursuing infertility treatment or domestic adoption through grants.

+ We will raise funds that will be used to provide grants for families pursuing fertility treatment or domestic adoption.

Description

The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation (TQCF) is a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of families battling infertility. Through education and outreach, we support families struggling with infertility, and strive to educate outside communities about relevant and related issues. In addition, the TQCF also provides financial assistance to families pursuing infertility treatment or domestic adoption through the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation Family Building Grant. This dual approach distinguishes the foundation as the only organization of its kind in the nation.
