Yellow Circle is seeking volunteers and instructors for its five day technology camp, scheduled for August 5-9, 2019 at Cosumnes River College (8401 Center Pkwy, Sacramento, CA 95823). Yellow Circle is a non-profit organization based in Elk Grove, California with a mission to advance Information Technology education through mentoring programs, technology resources, boot-camps, and an online computer lab for teachers and students.
This five day boot camp provides a fun filled experience for teenagers to get acquainted with the importance of cyber security, coding, cloud computing, Internet-of-Things, and technology hardware in their daily lives. Students learn from industry professionals with real world examples. Our hands-on approach puts students in the hot seat, where they learn topics like: Encryption, Network Security, Social Engineering, Application Security, Identity Management, Mobile Application Development, Deploying code to cloud, hardware classes, and more. The goal of this boot camp is to spark interest in technology careers and education at early age.

Description
Yellow Circle Learning Platform is a technology playground where students learn technology concepts, they get hands-on experience with coding, cyber security, applications, programming, and IT infrastructures. Our online platform promotes increased learning by allowing students to apply their newly learned IT theories to create real world IT infrastructures in a non-production environment without having to worry about associated expenses. This cloud environment, further referenced as a "learning platform" provided through our website without fees to users. By using this platform students create, manage, and customize their own virtual private data-center. Each student have access to deploy private networks, routers, firewalls, servers, appliances, load-balancers, storage devices and more. Students increase their learning by implementing real world solutions by following guides and tutorials provided as Educational Materials & Tutorials. The goal is to encourage and enhance learning through an online educational platform that provides hands-on experience without the associated cost of software, maintenance, or hardware infrastructure.

- Each day is different topic. Instructors can teach everyday, or pick a topic. Each day consists of four 65 minute sessions. Instructors must check in 30 minutes prior to first session that starts at 10:15am.
- Phone interview is required. Must have industry experience in topic being taught.
