We are looking for an accounting professional to join our board to help guide our strategy, decision making, and priorities.

We are a growing social venture and you will have the opportunity to shape our path. Our goal is to become the most nationally recognized and useful resource for people who want to donate items where they will do good.

This critical board role will provide financial oversight, and oversee accounting and budgeting to guide Donate Good Stuff as we grow toward self-sustainability. Additionally, you will be responsible as the Secretary, taking and keeping notes from monthly board meetings.

The ideal candidate should have experience and interest in: accounting, bookkeeping, Quickbooks or other financial related experience. CPA (or working toward) and prior board experience is highly desired. The board role is a 2 year commitment from Jan 2024 (or whenever elected) to Dec 2025. Most of the role can be done remotely, with a few meetings in person each year.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Virtual board meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6-7pm. Overall time commitment is about 10 hrs per month.
  • Must be passionate about social causes, excellent at managing projects, and self-motivated.
