Oak Hill Cemetery Historic Preservation Foundation is delighted to be a planting grant recipient from Casey Trees. Casey Trees is a Washington, D.C. nonprofit. Casey Trees' mission is to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of the nation's capital. Casey Trees pursues their mission through education, community action and research.

On November 16th, 2019 we will be planting several trees in the historic Oak Hill Cemetery. The tree plantings will happen all over the grounds of the cemetery. We are looking for volunteers who can lift up to 25lbs, wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, and work on uneven ground (the cemetery grounds are rolling hills). The ideal volunteer would be interested in preserving historical places and trees for the urban mid-atlantic region.

Volunteers should arrive on site from 8:00-8:30am and will finish planting the trees with a celebratory lunch from 12-1pm.
