The Costume Repair/Sewing Volunteer will sew/repair identified pieces of clothing necessary for our Museum Programming. These costumes assist with the performances done during our fall shows. They are worn in the Turner/Ingersoll Mansion, otherwise known as The House of the Seven Gables, and Hawthorne’s Birthplace. They are worn by our actors and actresses. (Beginning of the summer)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sew pieces of costume
- Repair damaged or worn costumes
- Iron costumes (if need be)
- Clean and launder costumes (if need be)
- Use of needle, thread, scissors
