The Garden Guide Volunteer acts as the host/hostess to gardens and grounds. The volunteer will explain the garden, hand out garden literature and answer questions. Be a Goodwill ambassador for the gardens. The Garden Guide Volunteer will also assist guests with any other questions regarding the grounds and historic homes on the site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Discuss different plants/trees and history of Garden
- Greet and help orient guests in the Garden
- Assist guests around the grounds
- Respond to guest inquiries
- Answer guest questions regarding the historic site, Salem and surrounding area, other attractions in town in a positive and non-opinionated manner.

- The House of the Seven Gables is open from 10am-7pm. We are looking for volunteers that can work a 4 hour shift. Days and times can be worked out with the manager of the department.
