Overview:

The Museum Store Volunteer works to ensure the highest level of museum experience in the Museum Store. The volunteer must provide excellent customer service and greet and engage visitors in conversation for the purpose of sharing information about the museum, store merchandise, programs and exhibits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests that enter the Museum Store;
• Answer guest questions regarding the historic site, Salem and surrounding area, other attractions in town in a positive and non-opinionated manner;
• Recommend other attractions based on guest’s expectations;
• Assigned a duty in the back rooms of the store to help watch for potential shop lifting if this occurs will notify paid staff;
• Dust and clean shelves when communicated by Museum Store Manager.
