Our amazing surgery team completes up to 65 spay/neuter surgeries a day! We have seen a big rise in the number of pets coming in for surgery this summer, and our team needs your help! There are two ways to help the surgery team as a volunteer:
Kennel Attendant/Tuesdays,1-4 pm/Wed-Fri, 1-5 pm/AGES 16+
Help keep our kennels and surgery clinic clean. Come in the afternoon to clean kennels as dogs go home for the day, sweep floors, do laundry, and tidy up in preparation for the next day. Be prepared for messes, smells, and lots of cute dogs!
Surgical Operative Support (SOS)/Tues-Fri, 10 am-2 pm/AGES 18+
Help clean and prep surgical tools, make surgical packs, prep medications, and support the vet tech team in other ways as needed. SOS volunteers help ensure all the necessary tools are ready to be used by the veterinary team. It's a great way to see behind the scenes in a vet clinic and be part of the team ensuring surgeries and pet care go smoothly. Excellent opportunity for anyone interested in vet tech, veterinary or other medical work.
