The Mentoring Program is looking for mentors 18 years of age or older, of any ethnic, religious, or economic background, who is interested in making a positive impact on a child's life. Mentors are subject to an application and interview process, including a back-ground and state registry check. Mentors must be able to commit to 1 year at a minimum of 8 hours per month.

Description
The Mentoring Program is a voluntary adult to child mentoring program serving youth in Herkimer County who may be at-risk for substance abuse. The adult mentor provides one-to-one activities to help build protective factors and reduce risk.
