Do you love art and sharing that love with others? Do you enjoy working with children? Do you have one hour per week to donate to the local community?
Join the Palo Alto Art Center's Docent Program
Project Look offers tours of exhibitions to K-5th grade students from local schools. Docents lead interactive tours of the Art Center galleries and provide hands-on art activities. The docent program engages docents as active participants in the development of tours and projects.
The Palo Alto Art Center is seeking 15 volunteer docents, who will receive training and mentorship from an incredible community of peer docents and Art Center education staff. The Bay Area community relies on this program for arts education for elementary school students. New docents will participate in four mandatory training sessions on gallery tour strategies at the beginning of the next school year. Docents then provide one tour per week. Tours are scheduled Tues.-Fri. at 9am, 10:35am, and 12:15pm from September through May.
New Docent Training:
September 3, 6, and 10
9:30am-12pm
