Heart to Heart Hospice is looking for evening volunteers to sit with patients during meal times and evening bed time preparations. Volunteers should be able to provide calming compassion and empathy to our patients. Patients may be in their own homes, or in nursing home facilities.
Volunteers create a distraction from the patient's diagnosis, illness, and pain. Volunteers can play cards, listen to music, watch tv, talk with or simply hold the patient's hand. Your goal is to provide comfort and support during the last of their days.

Description
Our Southgate office is looking for volunteers both in the clerical/administrative and patient visit capacities. We have a growing office with a very friendly staff and are seeking those who wish to give of themselves but are prepared to recieve far more than they give. Patient visits are completed in homes, nursing facilities, and adult foster care. We are very flexible and will work around your availability.
