Calling all bookworms, literature lovers, and aspiring novelists!
Turning the Page & Carpe Librum Bookstores will be popping up in Woodrow Wilson Plaza at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) for a one-day only outdoor book fair in the square on September 12th 2019!
This is a great opportunity to spend a sunny day supporting literacy and education in the DC public school system. We will need volunteers to help us pop-up, check-out and pop-down the tables and book shelves for this extraordinary and energetic fundraising event.
Can you lend a hand?
- The first shift is from 8:00am - 11:00am helping to 'pop-up' the table and shelves.
- The second shift from 7:00pm - 8:00pm 'popping-down' the tables and repacking books!
If you have all day, or just a few hours, we would love to have you come help out!
Contact Phebe at pminer@turningthepage.org for more information.
...by the way, we're not just any bookstore: we're a fundraising bookstore! Carpe Librum collects donated books, CDs and DVDs to support Turning the Page, a DC education non-profit. Every sale is an investment in education for DCPS families.
