Designer Digs for Dogs is a night filed with competition, cocktails and canines! Along with Luxe Interiors & Design, The Little Red Dog will host a competition where design teams will design and build beds & homes for dogs. The creations will be judged, and then auctioned to raise money and awareness for the millions of dogs that die in shelters every year, simply because they are homeless.
Founded in 1984, The Laguna Design Center (LDC) is a hidden jewel in the heart of Laguna Niguel, CA. Laguna Design Center is a beautiful & unique venue featuring six outdoor courtyards, market lighting, waterfall sculptures, and fountains; a perfect backdrop for a canine design competition.
Captivating attractions include a photo booth, magician, live art, and artisan & couture vending, specialty cocktails & activities in the spirit of celebration and saving lives. Judge the competition, try your luck at the live auction, raffle, and much more, to benefit The Little Red Dog.
We need volunteers for all aspects of the night, from setup, check in, raffles, silent auction, live auction, food and bar stations, and tear down. There will be an orientation the week before the event.

Mission Statement
The Little Red Dog is on a mission to save dogs by rehabilitating them medically and behaviorally and finding the right home. Dogs enrich our lives. Our purpose is to eliminate euthanasia and end cruelty by educating humans on dog behavior to keep both dogs and humans safe and happy. We also assist the community with vet care and training so that owners can keep their dogs. We are on a mission from dog!
Description
Dogs are man’s best friend, but it is not always the other way around. The Little Red Dog, Inc. was founded in memory of an American Pit Bull Terrier who did not make it. If you are familiar with the Michael Vick dog fighting case chronicled in the book The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick’s Dogs and their Tale of Rescue and Redemption, our namesake, a Little Red Dog, was brutally beaten to death by Vick and his cronies because she had the audacity to not want to fight. The Little Red Dog fights for all dogs: red, blue, tan, white, brown, black and all colors in between.
Our primary goal is to get all these dogs into loving homes. Our hope is that someday all of them make it out, but most of all? We will never forget the Little Red Dog and many others who did not. For more information, please visit: https://thelittlereddog.org/about
