Come out to our Lackamas Flats Protected Area for a morning of controlling invasive blackberry! Once slated to become a subdivision, this property is located on a dynamic stretch of the Nisqually and is home to countless elk and other wildlife. Over 26,000 native trees and shrubs have been planted here, and they need our help in the competition against invasive species!

The Nisqually Land Trust acquires and manages critical lands to permanently benefit the water, wildlife, and people of the Nisqually River Watershed.

Description

The Nisqually Land Trust is a non-profit organization that acquires, maintains, and restores important lands along the Nisqually River to viable habitat for salmon and other wildlife.

It was established in 1989 to protect wildlife habitat threatened by the consequences of rapid population growth. Today it conserves and restores over 5,000 acres throughout the Nisqually River watershed.
