Are you passionate about healthy local food? Do you have a green thumb you would like to use to serve your community? Do you simply like getting stuck with hands-on work?
Join us at McLaughlin Grows Urban Farm, Muskegon's premier Urban Farm now operating at 3 sites in core-city Muskegon. We are looking for reliable, committed volunteers to help as grow local, fresh produce and provide food education in the heart of Muskegon. Whether you can spare a few hours or even a few days a week, we want to hear from you. All experience levels from beginner to horticultural masters welcome!
McLaughlin Grows seeks to:
Provide employment, training, and hands-on educational experiences to core city youth.
Transform the local food system by providing core city residents and institutions access to nutritious, affordable, organic produce.
Build healthy neighborhoods by creating green space, promoting social interaction and fostering a sense of community.
McLaughlin Grows aims to become a model of sustainable urban agriculture within our community.

Community enCompass is a Christian Community Development Organization for the core city neighborhoods of Muskegon. Our mission is to empower neighbors and build community in the core city neighborhoods by sharing God's love, as we walk alongside neighbors, seeking justice and a better quality of life for all through long-term, sustainable changes.
