Position Title: Food Pickup Helper

Reports To: Divisional Volunteer Center

Purpose/Goal of Position: To support the Oceanside Corps Community Center in picking up food donations, from various grocery stores. This position will also be moving food boxes from the truck to the building and weighing boxes and documenting weight.

Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed:

  1. Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and guests.
  3. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. numerous times through out shift.
  4. Current CA drivers license and good driving record.


  1. Assist with pickups donations to the Corps
  2. Moving food boxes from donation to trucks and truck to community center.
  3. Truck will be provided, this person may or may not be picking up donations with a staff person.
This position will be required to pass a background check and undergo several on-line trainings including a driving training.

Ongoing Position:

Duration: Minimum of 3-6 month commitment

Available Schedules:

Day's: Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday

Time: 9am to 3pm
