Pull/dig out roots of bamboo. Some types of bamboo are highly invasive, crowding out the native plants upon which wildlife depend. There is a large patch of the invasive kind of bamboo along Island Park Slough, right before it enters into the Willamette. This is a sensitive ecological area, thus hand removal is the best option.
