About DC STATE FAIR INC

Location:

P.O. Box 34016, WASHINGTON, DC 20043, US

Mission Statement

The DC State Fair is the only annual festival that celebrates the District’s talents in arts, agriculture, and homegrown pursuits while promoting local businesses and entrepreneurs of all wards and neighborhoods. This allows the DC State Fair to build community and pride across the whole District and bring all residents together throughout the year culminating in the annual festival in September.

Description

Mission

To build community within the District of Columbia by engaging community members, facilitating the free exchange of community and agricultural knowledge and showcasing residents’ talents through the operating and conducting of urban agricultural and craft fair to display and exhibit and all kinds of agricultural, horticultural, culinary, arts, and local arts

Vision

The DC State Fair brings together the entire DC-area community through inclusive celebration of the District’s agriculture, art and culinary talents. In a way that only a state fair can, the DC State Fair welcomes residents of all wards, neighborhoods, backgrounds, and interests to discover and rediscover DC area music, art, maker, grower, and culinary traditions to enjoy throughout the year.

Values

The DC State Fair’s values of accessibility; community; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and sustainability drive everything that we do. These values act as guideposts as we develop educational programming; build collaborative partnerships with individuals, agencies, and organizations across the District; serve and inspire our community and celebrate the District’s bountiful talents and resources.
