Enjoy the MN State Fair! MSS is a program that provides services and supports to adults with disabilities. We need volunteers to accompany our staff and help the individuals in our program on this fun excursion. Volunteers will be provided with an admission ticket to the fair. Duties may include but are not limited to: pushing a wheelchair, walking with someone who needs support, waiting in line with a program participant to purchase food/helping count out money, being an extra set of eyes and hands for the group, assisting staff as needed. Volunteers will be required to stay with the group at all times, and will be transported to and from the fair on an MSS vehicle with staff. Volunteers will meet at their preferred MSS location around 9am, and arrive back to MSS between 1-2pm. Volunteers must be comfortable and professional engaging with adults with disabilities, and be over the age of 18. Opportunities available only during weekdays, no evenings or weekends.
