Volunteer Porter

Location: Housing Hope Housing Development Department
Multiple Housing Hope Sites throughout Snohomish County

We are looking for several volunteers to fill part-time Porter positions on an ongoing basis. Shifts are 3-4 hours and can be in the mornings or afternoons once or multiple times per week. Volunteers will be scheduled according to their availability.

The role of Porter is to maintain all common areas on Housing Hope properties in a safe, attractive condition.

Duties can include any of the following:

• Walking the property on a frequent basis to remove litter, debris and pet droppings from the grounds
• Notifying manager of any diseased, dying or dead plantings
• Transferring trash and other items left outside of dumpster into dumpster and sweeping surrounding area
• Cleaning laundry room areas, stairwells, interior common areas and community rooms Qualifications: This is a great position for people who prefer task-oriented jobs. There will be some interaction with residents and staff from time to time.

Helpful experience to have:

• Janitorial or cleaning experience
• Customer service

Minimum age: 18
