The Smithville Community Clinic would like to expand its medical clinics. We currently run 2 medical clinics per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-5:30pm and see approximately 5-8 patients.
Our Nurse Practitioner has recently taken another opportunity and our Medical Director (M.D.) has taken over the two medical clinic days. A small stipend can be paid for travel expenses and CEUs.
The clinic has malpractice insurance and has a Medical Director. Our patient population is primarily adults who carry no insurance and/or are under-insured. The medical clinic has a nurse on duty, behavioral health advocate and/or licensed professional counselor and administrative personnel on staff to assist the PA and/or Nurse Practitioner.

Mission Statement
The Smithville Community Clinic provides hope and healing to those without means. Our goals are to heal the body, renew the mind and nourish the spirit.
Description
The Smithville Community Clinic provides free healthcare to people who are low-income, uninsured and not eligible for any other type of healthcare assistance. The assistance patients receive may include dental care, medical care, well women’s health, behavioral health care and social services. These services are delivered primarily using a combination of paid contractors and dedicated/trained volunteers.
Our values embrace: INTEGRITY - COMPASSION - RESPECT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL - We value and honor our patients, accepting them as worthy, fellow human beings, treating them with courtesy and kindness, carefully listening to their concerns, and empowering them to be involved in healthcare decisions and to make informed choices for a healthier, happier, and more meaningful life.
The broadness of these statements reflects the board's realization that medical care alone is not enough. Through the work of a volunteer staff at the Clinic, it has become clear that hope and healing cannot happen only within the walls of the Clinic. The vision involves the improvement and expansion of an array of services for health care, prevention measures, behavioral health intervention, woman’s health, dental hygiene and education outside of the Clinic that is valued by the community.
