Do you have a green thumb? Do you love plant management and working in beautiful gardens? Join other garden enthusiasts in Heritage Conservancy’s Green Thumb Garden group who help maintain the gardens and grounds at Historic Aldie Mansion in Doylestown! The Green Thumb Garden Group assists with weeding, watering, planting and other beautification projects from spring through late fall. General gardening knowledge is a plus, but our staff will introduce you to everything you need to know. This volunteer position is ideally suited to amateur gardeners looking to expand their skills and college students in horticultural programs looking to gain practical experience.
When: Tuesday through Thursday. Flexible hours between 9:00AM and 3:00PM

Based in Doylestown, PA, and serving Bucks and Montgomery counties, Heritage Conservancy is a community-based organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of significant open spaces, natural resources, and our historic heritage. The Conservancy believes that everyone is responsible for stewardship and seeks to enlighten, engage, and empower others to help achieve this mutual vision.
To date, Heritage Conservancy has facilitated the preservation of over 15,000 acres of open space, farmland, wildlife habitat, and important watershed areas in Bucks and Montgomery counties. This preserved land helps to protect water quality and the quality of life for your community. The Conservancy has also had 40 successful nominations to the National Register of Historic Places for historic districts and properties.
