Do you love science, education, diversity, and inclusion? Would you love to support a innovative effort from a science education nonprofit from the comfort of your home? Would you like to be a part of special project that kids love?

Sign up to help promote Science Delivered's STEM Trading Card Kickstarter, launching July 16!!!

STEM Trading Cards are cards which feature diverse faces in STEM in a trading card format. Cards are collectible, tradable, and kid-approved! They are developed for a K-5 audience but appropriate for all ages, even adults!

The cards have been given to students in our programs, and now we want to give them to a wider audience so all kids can know that STEM is for everyone! We also are exploring using the STEM Trading Cards as a way to generate income to support our free K-5 science education programming.

You would have a simple but important job - to share our Kickstarter on your social media platforms and/or through e-mail either on launch day (July 16) or during the month-long campaign.

This might seem easy, and it is! But it will be *so* impactful. If we can generate enough backers/supporters in this Kickstarter campaign we will be able to fund almost all our programs for the 2019-2020 school year! We really need you.

For those unfamiliar, Kickstarter is a platform to raise funds for new products. People who back our campaign will receive a product, STEM Trading Cards. They are *not* donating directly, although they will be supporting our work!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please take the time to sign up, we'd love to have you as a part of our campaign.

Mission Statement

To provide engaging and accessible STEM activities
In the wrong hands, science can be dry and confusing. But presented in a different manner, science is exciting and inspiring. We aim to bring science to life for our students, especially those with limited educational opportunities.

To promote critical thinking and problem solving
Critical thinking is the most basic, yet also the most essential, aspect of science. Yet this skill does not always come naturally! We encourage our students to critically engage and explore the world around them.

To promote confidence and general well-being
We go beyond "traditional" STEM activities to engage with subjects such as nutrition and psychology. With healthy bodies and healthy minds kids can be free to learn, question and create.

To change ideas about who can be a scientist
Representation matters. Here we look to the FermiLabproject for inspiration. Through our presenters, volunteers, and science history activities, we aim to show the diverse group of people who've contributed to STEM knowledge.

Description

Science Delivered is a mobile lab that brings the field trip to you! We provide a range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) classes for elementary school students. Science Delivered is a labor of love and founded on the principle is that STEM education is beneficial for all students, whether they grow up to work in business, a trade, policy, science or technology.
