Come and be part of making a difference in the Buena Park Library! Buena Park Public Library offers a thriving homework help program to students in grades K- 6th. Do you have a few hours per week to have a community impact by offering children educational support and enrichment? Prior teaching experience is a plus but not required. By volunteering a few hours per week you can have a positive impact on a child’s success in school. Homework assignments can include topics in math, science, language arts and reading. All supplies are included.
Qualifications:
Minimum age is 18.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good work habits (punctual, able to follow directions, dependable, etc).
Time Commitment:
Homework Help occurs Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm to 5:30pm.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
