Family Promise of Greater Denver serves families experiencing homelessness. We are in need of people to staff the front desk at our Day Site (5th and Lipan in Denver). This position involves answering the phone and the front door and being a welcoming presence to our guests, as well as various tasks such as data entry, organizing donations, and other projects that come up. Volunteers can also be trained to do more in-depth phone intakes for callers who are seeking services from us. You can sign up for either a morning shift (9 am - 1 pm) or an afternoon shift (1 pm - 5 pm). Days available are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you like children and enjoy helping people we'd love to hear from you!

Description
Family Promise of Greater Denver provides shelter, meals, rental assistance, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. We also work with families on employment, long-term housing solutions and other goals to ensure self-sufficiency and a brighter future.
Family Promise of Greater Denver began serving homeless families in 1997 and is part of a national network of 180+ affiliates. Since our founding, we’ve helped more than 1,000 families, including 1,900 children. Today, an average of 70% of families leave with housing and 85% of adults secure employment while they’re in the program!
