Horse Handler
ORGANIZATION: CHEFF THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Cheff Center is always looking for horse savvy individuals that are willing to help us handle horses during our therapeutic riding classes. Horse handlers are responsible for grooming horses prior to lessons, helping their client tack their horse, and handling that horse for the duration of that client's class. Classes are most often an hour in length and handlers are welcome to sign up for multiple classes if they would like to. Horse handlers are responsible for maintaining safe space with their horse during class while also allowing the client to work to their greatest ability to handle their horse on their own. Handling skills will be taught during initial orientation, in classes, and in alternate training throughout the year as well.
