Support digital marketing efforts of YWCA's Communications & Marketing Division across a wide variety of tools and platforms.
- Work with Marketing Technology & Operations Director to develop emails for YWCA events, appeals, and newsletter (Campaign Monitor/MailChimp) and update content on YWCA website (Drupal). Provide regular reports on email and website performance.
- Use digital media channels to promote YWCA events and programs,including community calendar postings and cross-promotion with community partners.
- Assist PR & Marketing Manager to update media coverage and contact information using our public relations database (Meltwater), and maintain YWCA's presence online, searching for information related to our programs and locations and correcting as needed.
- Assist Digital Advocacy & Engagement Manager to maintain and update YWCA's online advocacy center, and help develop email and text campaigns for advocates (Phone2Action).
- Regularly post news and updates for staff on YWCA's intranet (SharePoint). Also assist with the organization of YWCA's digital files and photos using SharePoint, SmugMug, and other online tools.
- 15-20 hrs/week, onsite
All YWCA ongoing volunteers/interns must complete all the following steps before starting:
- Apply for the volunteer position
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Submit two character references
- Attend a YWCA Volunteer Orientation within 30 days of the volunteer's first day.
All YWCA volunteers under age 16 are required to have a parent or guardian volunteer with them.
