Our Spring Lake Park location, Oak Crest, has great connections and the ability to provide lunch for its interested residents 5 days a week by partnering with local restaurants. Volunteers to help set up, serve, and clean up for this meal service is essential to our ability to continue offering it as a service to our residents. Eating together could provide benefits for those of all ages, but for seniors, it can be even more vital. Seniors who regularly eat alone are often at higher risk for a variety of health issues, especially malnutrition. Malnutrition leads to a variety of problems, like unintentional weight loss, weakness or dizziness that can lead to a fall and broken bones, and even depression.
Help the residents of Oak Crest thrive by becoming a Lunch Server volunteer today! May just consist of delivering meals to resident apartments.
Minimum Commitment of one weekly or monthly shift of 1.5 to 2 hours on a consistent schedule. Opportunity also great for small groups! Ask us about forming a VolunTeam!
Available Monday-Friday, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
