ReadyKids offers seven different programs for children and families. We are looking for a few fluent Spanish-speakers who could translate our waiting room rules, COVID-symptoms checklist, counseling consent forms and various resource pamphlets from English into Spanish for our counseling and family support programs.
This is a COVID-friendly volunteer opportunity, as we could send you the information electronically and you translate at home. There are 2 fluent Spanish-speakers at ReadyKids who can proof read the final product, if you would like help. If you could help with just one or two pages instead of all ten, let us know! We can divide up the work among many volunteers!

ReadyKids works toward the vision that each child in our community is ready to learn, ready for relationships, and ultimately ready for life! Since 1921, we have provided critical support to children and families in Charlottesville and the five surrounding counties. We support, teach, counsel and coach to help kids build life-long skills and give them the chance to reach their full potential. In Fiscal Year 2022, our programs impacted the lives of over 6,800 children, families and early learning educators in our community.
What does it mean to be Learning and Relationship Ready? Learning Ready Kids have quality early learning experiences that prepare them for school and for life. Relationship Ready Kids experience nurturing, healthy and developmentally-appropriate family relationships.
ReadyKids is a private nonprofit organization funded through a combination of private contributions, federal, state, and local government support, and private foundations.
