Volunteers in the Warehouse will assist the Warehouse Lead in moving and lifting furniture pieces, unloading incoming donations, and working on sorting furniture pieces by type.

The perfect volunteer for this position doesn't mind getting sweaty or heavy lifting, and can lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Mustard Seed Furniture Bank and Clothing Department is to help to rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing while being environmentally responsible to our community.


We provide household goods, furniture, refrigerators, stoves, clothing, toys and books to those who have suffered from natural or personal disaster and who demonstrate the desire to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient.

  • We request a minimum 2 hour shift, and volunteers can assist Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm on a drop in basis. The highest need for volunteers is on Thursday and Friday, but volunteers are encouraged every day.
