We are in need of a committee leader to help us create a website that highlights the Cold Spring/ROCORI area. This position will be responsible for directing other volunteers, checking in, reporting to the board, addressing any questions the rest of the committee may have, and making sure our timeline is followed.

Mission Statement

: The ROCORI area is comprised of three communities: Rockville, Cold Spring, and Richmond. These three communities do not currently have a tourism outlet, either online or onsite, to host comprehensive information about the area. Additionally, local hospitality businesses see an influx of visitors who are not aware of our communities’ assets. By creating an online platform for potential visitors, newcomers, and potential businesses to explore our community, information will be more readily available.

Description

Mission: As an online tourism and informational resource for the Rockville, Cold Spring, and Richmond (ROCORI) area, All About ROCORI’s mission is to enhance the economic wellbeing of the ROCORI area by increasing the amount of visitor and business activity that occurs in our area. This website is designed to share everything you need to know about our growing community in one place. All About ROCORI is the only website offering a comprehensive listing of resources for visitors, businesses, and newcomers. This is the only website dedicated to tourism marketing for the City. The website has a focus on the following goals:

  • Increase visitors to the ROCORI area, including potential residents and businesses
  • Acts as a resource to support the ROCORI area's facilities, attractions, activities, and events
  • Assist in the promotion of special events in the ROCORI area
  • Keep an up to date calendar of area event opportunities
