We are looking for one or two people who would like to volunteer two to three days a week for four to five hours each day to help with a variety of office duties: answering phones and general emails, greeting guests and assisting with special projects. UMCM is an education-based nonprofit that empowers participants to overcome life's obstacles by teaching skills and mechanisms that allow them achieve employability and lifelong educational success. We are Raising Hope everyday!

Learning Empowered works to address the causes and obstacles of poverty through innovative educational programs; teaching the mechanisms and tools needed for children, families and individuals to become self-sustaining, positive members of the community with skills needed for employability and for lifelong educational success.
Description
Our programs include four Centers for Early Learning that focus on helping children and families overcome trauma with educational preparedness for children leading up to kindergarten. Offering parents and families parenting skills, soft skills for job readiness and financial literacy. We also offer English Literacy for refugee and immigrant children and families which includes English (ESOL) classes, civics classes and citizenship test preparation.
