Position Summary: This position has primary responsibility for providing mental health services to
children, youth, and families impacted by violence in the East Bay Area. Program services include
clinical case management services to Catholic Charities’ school-based mental health services, Experience
Hope for Teens, which provides culturally-competent, trauma-informed trauma treatment services to
middle and high school youth in Oakland and West Contra Costa. Additional positions may also
include clinical case management for the families and loved ones of homicide victims and other
survivors of violent crime in Oakland and Alameda County. Pre-Masters-level trainees and Associate
Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) and Associate Social Workers (ASW) will deliver evidencebased trauma treatment to youth and families and be required to maintain fidelity to program and
treatment models under supervision from a licensed clinician.
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Essential Responsibilities:
* Learn, adhere to, and deliver evidence-based treatment models used by the program
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel, parents, and
community members.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of clients from diverse
cultural backgrounds.
* Conduct home visits
* Partner with school staff, community organizations, and government agencies on needs of
clients and their families.
* Adhere to agency and program data collection requirements

- Qualifications/Requirements: • Be a registered AMFT or ASW with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or be currently enrolled in an accredited professional school of social work or university preparing students for California licensure as an LCSW, MFT
