DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the oncology staff:

1. Escort patients to rooms and notify appropriate staff.
2. Assist patients and caregivers with MyChart setup and walk through.
3. Assist patients and caregivers with understanding the function and benefits of Virtual Visits in MyChart.
4. Talk and interact with patients.
5. Stock drawers and treatment rooms.
6. Assist with clerical tasks.
7. Run errands.
8. Provide a comfortable dialogue and listen for information on guest needs and wants.
9. Maintain a positive, respectful relationship with all staff and guests.
10. Participate in training meetings, if requested.
11. Follow all HIPAA guidelines with all guests personal information.
12. Know fire and disaster procedure for area.
13. Perform other related duties as required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Act calmly, pleasantly while multitasking, and be able to relate to people regardless of age, race, creed, ethnic background, or economic status.
2. Respect the confidentiality of all guests and be diplomatic in responding to concerns and problems.
3. Have a working knowledge of the services provided at the hospital and the medical center.

TRAINING/INSTRUCTION:

1. Complete volunteer orientation.
2. Complete training for your area.
3. Complete annual safety updates.
4. Attend other training programs as needed.
