If you have a passion for making a lifelong difference in the life of a child's life please consider becoming a Volunteer Child Advocate with the Guardian ad Litem program. Child Advocates are trained and supported volunteers who advocate for the best interest of children in the foster care system. A volunteer will visit with their children at least once every 30 days, talk to those involved with the child and advocate for what is in their best interest. This position takes an average of 8-10 flexible hours per month. Please contact us to arrange to attend a no obligation orientation session to see if this is the right opportunity for you. The need is great in PutnamCounty so please consider helping a child in your community. All children deserve someone to speak up for them. Can you be that person?

To provide dependency judges with thorough and accurate information regarding the children under the court's jurisdiction.

The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office is a state agency with a volunteer-powered network of everyday people committed to giving Florida's abused, neglected, and abandoned children a better chance for life. Our Guardian ad Litem Volunteers are everyday heroes from all walks of life who are part of a multi-disciplinary team that always includes a Guardian ad Litem Attorney and a child welfare professional. Together we can make a better future for Florida’s most vulnerable children.
