We need volunteers like you! Our core group of regular volunteers, most of whom are retired, make a huge difference with our programs and we are always looking for dedicated folks to join their ranks!

About Habitat:
Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We revitalize neighborhoods, build affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and empower families through successful homeownership. Since 1986, we have partnered with volunteers, the community, and qualified families with limited incomes to strengthen communities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.

Central Commons:
Join us to build homes, and change lives! Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley would like to invite you to join us at Central Commons! Our Central Commons Development is a new 30-home development project where we will be creating a thriving mixed-income community that will be an asset to the surrounding area.

The homes will incorporate many green building features addressing resource conservation, indoor air quality, and energy and water efficiency.

No Experience Necessary! Our group of dedicated Habitat staff, amazing AmeriCorps Crew Leaders, and fellow Habitat volunteers will teach you all you need to know. Whether you join us after never picking up a hammer, experience as a tradesperson, or somewhere in between, sign up to volunteer with us to learn new skills, have fun, and support affordable housing!

We build Wednesday-Saturday 8:30am-4pm.

Becoming a Regular Volunteer: If you would like to make a long term commitment (at least 3-6 months) to volunteer at least once a week or 3 times a month, we would love for you to become a Regular Volunteer.

To get started, volunteer at least 3 times at one site and be sure to let staff know of your intention to become a Regular Volunteer.

Perks of becoming a Regular Volunteer include flexible scheduling directly with program staff, learning skills alongside fellow volunteers & staff, invitations to appreciation & special events, Habitat swag, and becoming an integral part of our Habitat family!
